"A story beats with the heart of every person who has ever strained ears to listen. On the breath of the storyteller, it soars. Until its images and deeds become so real you can see them in the air, shimmering like oases on the horizon line." Cameron Dokey, The Storyteller's Daughter

About Me

I have been telling stories for many years to assorted audiences (and anyone who will listen!).  I enjoy folktales from various areas around the world, American folklore and historical stories, sometimes using instruments and music with these.  I perform with Ogden and Salt Lake City Ghost Tours as a storyguide, telling the tales of the hauntings and histories in these northern Utah cities.  Having taught music in an elementary school, I have a good sense of what appeals to children of various ages and by working with Ghost Tours I know how to entertain groups of adults.  I have also appeared in junior and senior high schools to help them appreciate the art of storytelling.  Some of my best listeners are my grandchildren, several of whom have taken the stage as storytellers themselves!  Stories unite people of all ages and walks of life . . . so come and listen to a story . . . and then pass it on to someone else.

"The students almost did not breathe during the stories because they were so caught up in them.  (They were) hanging on her every word."  Jennifer Baker, junior high history teacher
